Christina Curtis, LMSW

Clinical Therapist

I am a clinical therapist with a Master of Social Work (MSW) and extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, transitional-age youth, and adults across a variety of treatment settings. My clinical background includes work in psychiatric inpatient units, partial hospitalization programs, and emergency mental health services, where I have provided both individual therapy and facilitated therapeutic groups.

My primary therapeutic approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I focus on helping clients build practical skills to manage emotions, navigate challenges, and create meaningful, lasting change. I strive to create a supportive, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered in their treatment.

I currently work in Emergency Mental Health at UMass, where I support individuals and families during times of acute emotional distress. My experience across higher levels of care has shaped my ability to meet clients where they are and tailor treatment to their unique needs and goals.

Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling to explore different parts of the world, and indulging in a little retail therapy.
