Clinical Therapist

I conduct therapy with a person-centered, mindful, and relaxed approach. My best strength is meeting you where you are at, relating to you on a deeper level, and making sure you feel safe in our clinical setting. I thrive in outpatient settings, as I connect best on a weekly basis to ensure rapport is built. I support my clients in creating and building the best versions of themselves in whatever capacity is wanted and needed. I work with my clients to ensure they feel comfortable and empowered to take on their current struggles.

I was raised in Maine and studied psychology for my undergraduate degree. I then obtained my masters in Social Service from Bryn Mawr College. I have spent years working in different mental health agencies, including residential, inpatient, and outpatient settings. I work largely with humanistic, psychodynamic, and affirmative therapy modalities. I have lengthy personal and professional experience with the LGBTQIA+ community and body positivity.

I am the therapist that kicks off my shoes, is known to sit on the floor for sessions, and brings a level of comfortability that you may not have experienced before. In my free time I spend time with my partner, my 21 pound black cat, and cooking for loved ones. I also enjoy reality TV, baking sweet treats, and embroidery.

Katia has also helped me work through longstanding and current challenges with my mother. With her support, I’ve learned how to approach difficult conversations with more confidence, clarity, and emotional regulation.

On a personal level, she has helped me build healthier body confidence and reconnect with the things I am passionate about. I feel more grounded, self-aware, and empowered than I have in years.
